Baros banned for 'smelling opponent'

What a stinker! We've seen some bizarre things from players this season (remember the Cleberson kiss), but this takes the biscuit. Former Liverpool Striker Milan Baros has been banned for three games after pinching his nose and pretending to smell a disgusting smell coming from an opponent.

The Czech, who joined Lyon from Aston Villa in January made the amusing gesture whilst playing against Rennes in a French league game last month. Although cleared against the charge of racism towards Cameroon midfielder Stephane M'Bia, he was still banned for what can only be being offensive to the opponent. We're not sure. Is this being treated in the same way as swearing at an opponent? What if he genuinely smelt? Surely its not a crime to turn your nose up at a bad smell.
